If your Ipaq digitizer is non reactive, before reaching the conclusion that it is faulty please read or refer to your user manual and carry out a screen calibration. Once you have established that there is a fault POS will replace your Ipaq display. This Ipaq service will also cover damaged/broken display or an Ipaq display with poor contrast. (Please note that additional faults such as switch board or damaged case and some battery faults will be charged separately).

Owing to the design of the modern pcb and the pace of technology it is not always possible to repair a circuit board, if after inspection your Ipaq board is found to be (BER) beyond economical repair we will contact you for new instruction. If you request a new Ipaq board POS will order from HP on behalf of our client. If your Ipaq circuit board is repairable we will carry out the repair but may require an extra day to carry out a soak test, this is where the unit is left with the processor running.

Some Ipaq's such as the Ipaq 5550 is quite weighty, continuous dropping will damage the board to board connector. These connectors coupling with the switch to the main PCB will shatter, resulting in the switch buttons being inoperable. For this service the Ipaq switch board is replaced and is carried out at the standard charge, this service applies to alll Ipaqs incorporating a switch board.

POS will replace the case on your Ipaq this includes the back and front moulding as well as other cosmetic items, logos, rubber grips, (this service does not include the repair to your Ipaq board or Ipaq screen replacement).

if your Ipaq SD card or the CF card, for example the Ipaq 2210 is not recognized by your unit you may need the connector replaced.
If your Ipaq speaker is not working and you use head phones you may need to have the head phone jack replaced. These repairs are covered by our board repair charge.
This can be provided as a while you wait service.

When sending in your Ipaq for this service the key is that you recognise the fault as well as the fix for battery not charging maybe different from battery not holding charge. If your Ipaq battery is not charging you may have a problem with the Ipaq charging circuit and will need our standard board repair service.
If your Ipaq battery drain time is shorter than is expected then you may require a new Ipaq battery. POS can carry out the battery fitting or you may go for a DIY repair service.
