The Screen Cable is the flexible ribbon that connects the screen of your PDA to the motherboard. This can fail over time due to wear and tear. Damage to the screen cable will result in you having no screen display or a jail-bar effect of horizontal or vertical black lines on the screen. Moving the screen to a different angle will sometimes result in your display intermittently appearing.

If you have a cracked or damaged screen you will need a replacement display module. This type of repair is covered by the LCD Service charge (please ensure that the screen module is faulty and not the screen cable). If the repair cost exceeds the value of your machine then a replacement option is available. If you have any faults in the LCD of your machine then you should choose an LCD service, which includes (but is not limited to) loss of backlight, loss of touch sensitivity, cracked and smashed screens. This also includes a full standard service. Parts and labour are included in the price.
